True to the story, a historic estate provides the backdrop and Fife and Perthshire, all kinds of activities.
Made in Chelsea, broadcast on E4, documents the lives and relationships of affluent young Londoners in the fashionable districts of West London. Since launching in 2011, the show has followed the cast not only around Chelsea but also on trips to glamorous destinations around the world, creating dramatic storylines in distinctive locations.
For the new series a recent series, however, the programme traded the boutiques and bars of London for the dramatic landscapes of eastern Scotland. The cast travelled north for a special storyline filmed in Perthshire and Fife, bringing the reality show’s signature mix of romance and conflict to some of the country’s most picturesque estates and coastal settings.

Scotland takes centre stage
In the new season, the Chelsea clique “swap Chelsea for the breathtaking backdrops of Scotland”, with the opening episodes centred around a stay at a stately country house in Perthshire. The change of setting provides a fresh visual identity for the series, as relationships unfold against rolling countryside and historic architecture.
Errol Park: a historic Perthshire filming location
One of the most notable filming locations for the Scottish episodes is Errol Park, an impressive and cinematic estate near the village of Errol in Perthshire. It overlooks the River Tay and spans more than 3,000 acres of countryside.
Originally designed between 1875 and 1877 by architect Alexander Johnston, the Renaissance-inspired mansion is known for its grand interiors and landscaped grounds. Key features include sweeping reception rooms, a dramatic staircase, and a tree-lined driveway framed by towering redwood trees.
The estate’s panoramic views and historic character made it particularly appealing for the production team, who selected it as a location that reflects the elegance and exclusivity associated with the show. Its interiors and expansive parkland provided a striking backdrop or scenes of social gatherings, conversations and unfolding drama among the cast.
In addiction to being an incredible film location, Errol Park is also a wedding venue and exclusive-use holiday estate that hosts large gatherings in an idyllic rural setting.
Film fabulous in Fife Tay
Fife offers a complementary coastal environment for the series. With its historic towns, dramatic shoreline and famous university and as the home of golf, St Andrews, the Fife and Perthshire region continues to grow as a popular filming destination with high-end drama credits such as The Crown, Outlander, and Star Wars: Andor.
