Dior doc – Cruise Collection 2025 x Scotland
Dior launches behind the scenes documentary on making of the collection and filming at Drummond Castle Perthshire and wider Scotland
In June 2024, Dior, and multiple production teams showed they truly ‘J’adore’ Drummond Castle, Perthshire as they unveiled their Cruise 2025 collection at this historic and highly dramatic location. Combining fashion show, filming and fashion shoot, this was a major showcase in Scotland that also tipped its hat to a 1955 event at Gleneagles with Christian Dior himself. The collection and show celebrated Scotland’s rich cultural heritage and the brand's longstanding connections to it.
Dior have now released a documentary, Dior in Scotland. It offers a behind-the-scenes view into the creative process behind the Cruise 2025 collection, showcasing the collaboration with Scottish artisans and preparations leading up to the Drummond Castle showcase.

Dior at Gleneagles 1955
In 1955, Christian Dior orchestrated a landmark fashion show at Gleneagles Hotel in Perthshire, Scotland. This event was part of a charitable initiative to support the Friends of France, an organization dedicated to fostering cultural exchange between Scottish and French schoolchildren.
A Historic Location
Drummond Castle is renowned for its ornate Renaissance-style gardens that date back to 1630 and provided a unique location. The gardens are considered to be some of the finest and most important formal gardens in Europe and the castle has featured in productions like Rob Roy and Outlander.
A Tribute to Scottish Heritage
Dior Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri drew inspiration from Scotland's rich traditions, seamlessly integrating elements such as tartan patterns, kilts, and thistle motifs into the collection. The designs also paid tribute to Mary, Queen of Scots, reflecting a deep appreciation for Scotland's history.
