Street Symphony is a new take on talent shows fronted by multi-award-winning singer-songwriter Emeli Sandé. In this first series Emeli, whose current single features in the new X Men movie, returns to her roots in Scotland to search for the country’s best buskers. The musicians she likes best will join her on stage for an incredible night of live performance with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra.
She grew up in Aberdeenshire and from there headed south to the cities of Dundee and Perth.
Episode 1 goes out on19th September and is on the BBC i-Player.

One busker featured in the show is violinist Kit Storm, aged 17 from Carnoustie.
Emeli, released her third album Real Life on 21st June and single from the album, Extraordinary Being, features in the new X Men film, Dark Phoenix.
